Contact Us01What days and times is Motion on Mead?
September 19 and 20, 2026, from 12 PM to 8 PM on both days.
02Why Mead Street?
Because Mead Street already has food, businesses, community, and motion. La Tapatia, Josephine's Home of the Lemon Pepper Taco, Butler Candy Land, Bajas, Wells Brothers, La Taquiza, the COP House, the neighborhood park, Tony Chambers with the DA9 Social Lounge food truck, and Snaps near Racine Street are already part of the area. Motion on Mead is about bringing more people out to eat, shop, walk, meet neighbors, and support what is already here.
03Why is there a vendor fee?
Putting on an organized, enjoyable, and safe event requires real resources. The vendor fee helps cover what is needed to create and operate the private gated vendor space. Standard spaces are $75 for one day or $125 for both days.
04Why is Motion on Mead the same weekend as Party on the Pavement?
Vendors and the community were already planning for that weekend. After Party on the Pavement announced a $600 vendor fee, some vendors began looking for another option. Motion on Mead gives those businesses and visitors another place to go without telling anyone where not to go.
05Why is the event two days?
So people do not have to choose. Visit Party on the Pavement one day and Motion on Mead the other, or come see Motion on Mead both days. The goal is to give Racine more places to gather and support local businesses.
06Do I have to pay to be on Mead Street?
No. The vendor fee applies only to a space inside Motion on Mead's private gated vendor area. Anyone considering setting up on a sidewalk, street, or other property outside that area must contact the appropriate agency or property owner and confirm what is legally required.
07What does the private gated vendor space include?
Vendors purchasing space inside the private gated area receive their assigned event space. Vendors booked for both days may leave their tents and setup overnight instead of breaking everything down and rebuilding the next morning. The gated area will be locked and monitored overnight.
08What does Motion on Mead hope to become?
A respectful, fun event where people support vendors and businesses and explore the Mead Street neighborhood. The hope is that guests eat, shop, walk, meet people, and support local businesses throughout the area.
09How much is a vendor space?
$75 for one day or $125 for both days inside the private gated vendor area.
10What size is each space?
Each vendor space is approximately 10' × 10'.
11What do vendors provide?
Vendors provide their own tent, tables, chairs, generator or power source, equipment, and supplies.
12Is electricity provided?
No. Vendors need to bring their own power source if required.
13Is water provided?
No.
14Do vendors need permits?
Vendors are responsible for any licenses, permits, inspections, and approvals required for their individual operation.
15What do food trucks pay?
Food trucks pay the same vendor rate. If the setup requires two spaces, two spaces must be purchased.
16When is payment due?
Payment is due at registration and reserves the vendor space. Official payment instructions will be provided during the registration process.
17Are refunds available?
Vendor fees are nonrefundable.
18What if it rains?
Motion on Mead is a rain-or-shine event.

Food vendors may be subject to licensing, permitting, inspection, or food-safety requirements through Racine County Public Health depending on their operation. Vendors are responsible for reviewing and completing any requirements that apply to them.
21Does Motion on Mead provide the food vendor permit?
No. Motion on Mead does not issue health department licenses or permits. Food vendors must work directly with the appropriate government agency for any required approvals.
22If Motion on Mead accepts my vendor application, does that mean I am approved by the Health Department?
